This is a crocheted cotton table cloth hand-made by Louise DeMeulle (now 98 years young)
approximately 30 years ago. Louise had many years of experience in the textile mills of Massachusetts.
Beautifully crafted and in pristine condition, this work of art may be viewed at Purple Fleece until May 21st.

The group meets once a month in the evening for fiber activities and comraderie.

Purple Fleece Friendship Shawl
We have a new kit called the Purple Fleece Friendship Shawl.
Each kit is a different colorway with coordinating yarns of different textures and fiber
and contains about 30 ounces of yarns and instructions on how to make the shawl.
The kit costs $50 and represents a savings of about 25% if you were to buy the yarns separately.
We currently have kits in purple (of course!), green, red, blue, and pink. Other colors are available.
"Spindolyn" supported spindles
The unique and original "quill supported" engineering eliminates the "drop" of a drop spindle, the
need for the support of a support spindle and gives a smooth, fast spin, great for medium fine to fine yarns.
The Spindolyn is made of two parts, the spindle whorl with it's brass shaft, and the wooden base with its
specially shaped brass tube that the shaft rides in. This "drop free" arrangement can tuck comfortably into
your lap or the crook of a crossed knee. It is perfect for spinning sitting down, in the car, between your feet
on a low stool, in your easy chair or while lounging on the couch! Instructions included.....$29.00

Gaywool Dyes
Gaywool Dyes are simple, complete, quick and fun. The formulation includes the mordant and dyebath
acidifier necessary for color fast dyeing. Excellent on wool, cashmere, mohair, silk, and nylon.
Available in 32 colors. ($15.50/can, dyes 2.2 lbs of wool)
